Digital property inspections in February highlight shifting buyer trends, with interstate demand increasing to 22.0% (+0.9%), while international interest declined to 7.1% (-1.0%) compared to January.

Here’s how each region performed:

• Sunshine Coast: Interstate demand edged up to 23.8% (+0.5%), reaffirming its appeal among buyers from NSW and VIC. However, international interest declined to 4.5% (-0.9%), reflecting a slight drop in overseas interest.
• Gold Coast: Interstate inspections surged to 31.3% (+1.6%), maintaining the highest demand in the country. However, international demand dipped slightly to 6.3% (-0.4%), indicating a minor shift away from overseas interest.
• Brisbane: Interstate inspections saw the biggest increase, jumping to 22.0% (+2.8%), highlighting growing domestic interest. Meanwhile, international inspections declined to 6.4% (-0.9%), suggesting a softening in overseas demand.
• Melbourne: Interstate demand dropped to 19.8% (-1.4%), marking a slight cooling in out-of-state buyer activity. International interest also declined to 4.1% (-1.1%), indicating shifting preferences toward other markets.
• Sydney: Interstate interest rose to 14.4% (+1.3%), showing renewed confidence among out-of-state buyers. International demand also saw a slight increase, reaching 12.1% (+0.3%), keeping Sydney among the top cities for overseas buyers.
• Perth: Interstate demand grew to 20.7% (+0.8%), while international buyer activity declined slightly to 9.2% (-0.5%). Despite this, Perth remains a popular choice for both interstate and international buyers.
